A holy war is a forceful struggle centered on an ideal, rather than on geographical domination. Religious liberals may regard particular holy wars as consistent with our Seven Principles. A holy war is not won or lost, rather, it is either effective or ineffective in establishing a new behavioral norm. Don will examine historical and current holy wars, their unique element of personal violence, and how we might be unwitting participants.
