“Mexico Sin Miedo”. Sermon audio presented by Sherry Hardage on July 24, 2011. A heartening fact: Your chances of being killed while visiting Mexico are lower than your chances of winning the PowerBall lottery. In both cases, you have to buy a ticket! Honestly, a trip to Mexico is a much more entertaining way to spend your money!! The American media portrays Mexico as possibly the most dangerous place on earth. I have now been to different areas three times in the last year and a half. The last trip, I flew internal Mexican airlines, from Juarez through Mexico City, to Chiapas. While there are many dangers to traveling in Mexico (uneven stairs and holes in the sidewalks), the chances of being beheaded, raped, or even mugged is lower than in the US. I will present some sobering statistics culled from the net and some fun anecdotes which I hope will inspire people to consider Mexico as a vacation destination.
