Our church year is aligned with the Los Alamos Public Schools, typically starting the third Sunday in August and ending by the first week of June. We have two identical Sunday services, at 9:00 am and 11:00 am. For the summer, Sunday services change to a single-service format starting at 10:00 am. During this time, we invite many outside speakers to explore a whole range of topics of general interest to the public. View the Church History and Vision & Mission Statement Our congregation is midsize, with about 150 active members and about 100 friends. We have an active Religious Exploration (RE) program with 50-60 children enrolled in classes from toddlers to High School. We have an Adult RE Forum at 10:00 am between the 9:00 am and 11:00 am services (childcare is available). We have two active youth groups: the Uniteens are composed of 6-8 graders while YRUUs are 9-12 graders.
We are a UUA-certified Welcoming Congregation and spearheaded the formation of and are now actively supporting by providing a meeting place for the local chapter of PFLAG. We started and continue to sponsor the CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) project with the Santa Cruz Farm in Espanola, an organic farm owned by Don Busto.
