Sunday Services
The Unitarian Church of Los Alamos is located at:
Los Alamos, New Mexico 87544
(505) 662-2346
Sunday Schedule
During the regular church year (Mid-August through May), Rev. John Cullinan leads services at 9:00 am and 11:00 am. During the summer, we have one service at 10:00 am. See the Sunday Service Titles and Descriptions. You can also see a list of Previous Services.
One Sunday a month our Worship Committee organizes a lay-lead service. Church members or invited guests will discuss an issue of importance to the church or local community.
What to Expect on Sundays
Unitarian Universalism is a religious tradition with a rich history in the United States. You’ll find a diversity of religious belief in our sanctuary. On any Sunday morning, you’re as likely to sit with a Christian as you are with a Buddhist, someone raised in the Jewish tradition, or someone raised with no religious background at all. In our liberal religious tradition, we are grounded in principles of freedom, reason, and tolerance, and we are far more concerned with the world we choose to build together, here and now, than we are in dictating any form of correct belief. As it says in our vision statement, “We celebrate diversity in belief and seek unity in action“.

Religious exploration for children takes place between the two services at 10 am. During services, children remain in the sanctuary with their parents for the first half of the service, and are then dismissed for activity time. Children are always welcome to remain with their parents in the sanctuary for the entirety of the service. Our Director of Religious Exploration, De Anna Hoyle, is available to answer any questions you may have. Childcare is available in the nursery during Sunday Services.
We welcome people of all races, ages, beliefs and sexual/gender orientations. We are recognized as a Welcoming Congregation by the Unitarian Universalist Association, embracing our pride in and solidarity with our gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender members and friends.
Accessibility: assistive listening devices, magnifiers for print materials, Braille hymns, and wheelchair spaces in the sanctuary are all available. Our greeters can direct you to appropriate materials. Please consider that some people have adverse reactions to fragrances. Notify the greeter of any other needs you have have. Welcome!
