Audio, Podcasts, and RSS

We offer a variety of ways to view and listen to sermons, forums, and other general content from our church.

Podcast
Each week, we post an audio recording of the Sunday readings and sermon by Rev. John Cullinan or guests. See the list of audio recordings here or you can always view the latest audio at the top right of the welcome page or in the sidebar on the right. You can also subscribe to our podcast on iTunes.

Other Audio
For many of the Sunday Forums, we post the audio on our web site under the category of Forum. Use this RSS link to view the feed in iTunes or your RSS application (see below)

The Audio Player Won’t Play? Older audio entries in our blog are archived to a separate area. A note is usually placed in the entry to let you know that the audio file was moved to the archive. This causes problems however with the page inline player. The audio should play correctly if you use the “Play in Popup” link or download the file.

Documents
Often, we may post sermons, forums, or other material as documents. All documents should be in PDF format and can be viewed with a standard PDF application like Adobe Reader.

RSS Feeds

(From Wikipedia) RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication” and is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works—such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video—in a standardized format. The symbol on the right denotes that a link or site has an RSS-type feed available.

These types of feeds can be viewed with web browsers (Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, etc.) and online services such as Google Reader.

RSS feeds can be subscribed to in many email programs and online services, with the programs letting you know when new content is available to view.

You can view the RSS feed for our entire site or by category, dates, or even article author. Some examples are:

• Entire site
• Categories
  (this list is not all encompassing, see the right sidebar for categories). The general format is: http://www.uulosalamos.org/CATEGORY/feed (replacing CATEGORY with the lower-case name of the category) 
  • Minister
  • DRE
  • President
  • Podcast
  • Forum
  • Leave off the /feed to get the full HTML blog entry pages for that category.
• Dates
  • The URL for an RSS feed by year is: http://www.uulosalamos.org/YEAR/feed (replace YEAR with the year you wish to see)
  • RSS feeds for a particular month are similar: http://www.uulosalamos.org/YEAR/MM/feed (replace YEAR and MM with appropriate numbers.
  • Leave off the /feed to get full HTML blog entry pages for that time period.
