For Visitors
Welcome!
Membership in Unitarian Universalist congregations is not based upon shared beliefs, but on shared principles and common purpose. Our religion is grounded in the practice of freedom, reason, and tolerance. For more information, please view the About Unitarian Universalism page.
If you visit our church, we want you to feel welcome with us. For more information on what to expect at our services, see the Sunday Services page. For Frequently Asked Questions, see the Visitor FAQ page. After each service, please join us for refreshment and conversation. Our greeters have visitors’ packets available, which include the most current edition of The Voice, our monthly newsletter. If you would like to learn more about our liberal religious faith, please feel free to contact our minister, Rev. John Cullinan, or speak with him or any of the available greeters after one of our services.
We welcome people of all races, ages, beliefs, and sexual/gender orientations. We are recognized as a Welcoming Congregation by the Unitarian Universalist Association, embracing our pride in and solidarity with our gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender members and friends.
We are glad to have you here!

Sunday Forum
Forum takes place during the church year (September-May) in Robinson Hall, following the first service. The forum starts at 10:10 a.m. and finishes at 10:50 a.m. with a 25-minute presentation and a 15-minute discussion period. Questions by audience members are limited to two minutes per person. Forum concentrates on church activities, community issues, denominational topics, books of note, and topics of interest to the Los Alamos Unitarian Church community. Please see the Sunday Forum page for a listing of all upcoming forums.
Religious Exploration Program
The Children’s Religious Exploration programs are held at 10:00 am between the first and second services. The are no RE classes during the summer months. Classes are divided into grade-levels, with separate programs for junior high and high school levels. Please see the Religious Exploration page for more information
On most Sundays, children stay with their parents for the first fifteen to thirty minutes of the service and are then released for activity time. Four-five times a year, we hold an intergenerational service, where all ages remain in the sanctuary. Children are always welcome to remain with their parents in the sanctuary for every service. If you are interested in our religious education program for children, please contact our Director of Religious Education/Exploration, De Anna Hoyle.
Child care is available in the nursery during Sunday Service times.

Church Socials
The membership committee would like YOU to join us for one or all of our church socials. Members, friends, and visitors of all ages (seniors, families, singles, teens, young children) are invited. We have game nights, picnics, etc. while we chat and get to know each other. These are fun, intergenerational gatherings and very casual so come when you can and leave when you need to. See the calendar listing below or the Happenings event page for upcoming dates.
